The Big Art Show
The Big Art Show, hosted by the Piedmont Arts Fund at the Piedmont Center for the Arts, is a celebration of artists in the community and a fundraiser. The Big Art Show will be open during gallery hours beginning on March 16th at 6pm to closing on March 30th, 2019. The opening will include a wine and cheese reception from 6-8pm, no ticket is required. The opening is also a reception for the Piedmont’s Got Talent show that begins at 4:30pm at the Veterans Hall. Donations are welcome. Ceramic garden flowers will be available for purchase at the opening and during gallery hours. Art may be purchased on the spot and online.
The Big Art Show will feature community artists including accomplished students. Half the proceeds from the Big Art Show go to the Piedmont Arts Fund – the other half goes to the artist. The Piedmont Arts Fund supports visual and performing arts at the Piedmont Unified School District in partnership with the Piedmont Education Foundation (PEF).
Gallery hours include hands on artistic activities that include cartooning with Marvel Comics illustrator Yancey Labat, silk screening, watercoloring, quilts, and more. Make art, see art, and support the Piedmont Arts Fund. See piedmontartsfund.org for the full schedule and sign up for activities.

The Piedmont Arts Fund contributed $65,000 this year to Piedmont Unified School District. The Piedmont Arts Fund relies on donations through the Piedmont Store and through special events to support art education in all of the schools in the Piedmont Unified School District. The PAF supports art for K-12 students including supplies, music instruction, integrated art, lunchtime art, 2D and 3D art, ceramics, photography, graphic design, band, orchestra, acapella, choir, theater, dance, poetry, film and art books in the libraries. The breadth and depth of these offerings would be impossible to maintain without parent and community support
