Take a Scarecrow Walk around your neighborhood
Make autumn a little more festive!
Join the Piedmont Arts Fund and Piedmont Makers to decorate Piedmont with Scarecrows
Families and pods are invited to make scarecrows for their front yards. This year’s theme is CALIFORNIA DREAMING, because we could all use a little optimism and creative cheer.
How to Participate:
- Make a scarecrow and have it in your front yard by Saturday, October 24.
- Post a picture of your scarecrow on your Facebook or Instagram page and tag #PiedmontScarecrowWalk2020.
- Follow the Piedmont Arts Fund and Piedmont Makers on Instagram & Facebook to see everyone’s scarecrows!
- Start walking through Piedmont and finding scarecrows!
Play Scarecrow Bingo with your family!
On Sunday, October 25, go to PiedmontArtsFund.org
and print out the Scarecrow Bingo card. Cards will also be available in the Piedmont Post. Mark your card with the scarecrows around town and bring your completed card to Mulberry’s between October 26 and October 31 to receive a Scarecrow treat.
Want to make a Scarecrow but don’t know where to start?
Piedmont Makers can help! They’re making a limited number of Maker Scarecrow Stands to make scarecrow building easier. Order your stand HERE.
Stands need to be ordered by Thursday, October 8, and will be available for pickup in Piedmont on Saturday, October 17.

Have an old Scarecrow in the basement?
We love creating and making new scarecrows, but we also love sustainability and recycling. If you have an old scarecrow in your garage or basement, pull it out, dust it off, and give it a little California spirit. Everyone is welcome to participate.
