Free documentary, THE PUSHOUTS, & distinguished speaker from Diversity Film Series.

“I was in prison before I was even born.” So begins the story of Dr. Victor Rios. Please join the Appreciating Diversity Film Series for THE PUSHOUTS, the inspirational story of Oakland native Dr. Victor Rios, former dropout and gang member, now a UC professor who trains educators to help students who are at risk of being ‘pushed out’ of the school system. Plan to stay following the screening for a Q & A with distinguished documentary film makers and Co-Directors of THE PUSHOUTS, Katie Galloway and Dawn Valdez.
