In addition to PEF and parent clubs, Piedmont has many community-based school support groups that help ensure that a breadth of classroom and community opportunities and perspectives are provided to Piedmont students. Their missions are to support specific programs such as music, the arts, athletics, and students with different learning needs, among others. They raise money through membership drives and parties held throughout the year.
The Piedmont Asian American Club is a non-profit membership organization of parents and community members whose mission is to sponsor educational programs aimed at promoting cultural awareness, encouraging diversity and providing a forum for Asian-American issues in Piedmont and surrounding cities. www.PiedmontPAAC.org
The Piedmont Appreciating Diversity Committee promotes awareness, inclusiveness and an appreciation of differences by providing grants to teachers and diversity programming for all students in the District. Piedmont Arts Fund
Piedmont Arts Fund supports orchestral music, instrumental and vocal instruction in the elementary schools, jazz and concert band, dance, and theater. Tri-School Dad’s Clubs
The Tri-School Dad’s Clubs support capital improvements at Piedmont’s three elementary schools. With various fun community events, they raise funds for the different campuses with grants for enhancements for buildings, educational technology, and other things.
