Dear Piedmont Unified School Board Members:
Thank you for your leadership in endorsing Resolution 03-2012-13 “To Support Schools & Local Public Safety Protection Act” (Proposition 30) and “Our Children Our Future: Local Schools And Early Education Investment Act” (Proposition 38).
Your efforts to champion our children and their education during these challenging years of declining revenues and reduced funding — is greatly appreciated. We’d also like to acknowledge and thank our teachers, who continue to make significant concessions in order to support our schools and provide the best educational experience for our children.
Lastly, a big thank you to the Piedmont community — for it’s long standing commitment to preserving the “capstone” of what makes our town unique, and an outstanding place to live as well as raise our kids. It is our community’s collaborative commitment to quality education that places Piedmont schools among the top ranked in our nation.
We are proud and grateful to be part of these efforts.
In support of the Piedmont School Board’s Resolution, we as Parent Clubs and the Piedmont Educational Foundation have endorsed the PUSD School Board’s resolution and will continue to work toward providing stable funding for education, whether it be through the November initiatives, the opportunity to give locally through the Giving Campaign, or to support our local school support tax.
Thank you for standing up for our children, our schools, and our community.
