Randall Booker
Superintendent of Schools

Mr. Booker was hired to become the new Superintendent in July 2015, after an extensive talent search that involved students, parents, staff and community members. He had served as the PUSD Assistant Superintendent for Educational Services since July 2011, after joining the Piedmont Unified School District administrative team in 2003 as the Assistant Principal at Piedmont High School. He has worked in various teaching, coaching, and administrative capacities in Albany USD, Cardinal Newman High School, and Piedmont High School.

Cheryl Wozniak, PhD
Director of Curriculum and Instruction

In the spring of 2014, Dr. Wozniak was promoted to Director of Curriculum and Instruction from Havens School where she had served as Principal for two years.

Julie Valdez

Julie Valdez
Director of Special Education

Formerly Principal at Beach School, Ms. Valdez was promoted to become the Director of Special Education in June 2014.

Peter Palmer
Director of Facilities

Hired in July 2015, Mr. Palmer is graduate of Piedmont High School and UC Berkeley with a Bachelor of Science in Conservation and Resource Studies, and has held a Class B CSLB General Contractors License for over 25 years. Mr. Palmer has served as a Commercial and Construction Project Manager for Vila Construction, PUSD’s Construction Manager of the Seismic Safety Bond Program, and most recently as Production Manager at McCutcheon Construction, where he managed more than 20 field staff and 10 office staff for residential remodeling projects.

Michael Brady

Michael Brady
Director of Alternative/Adult Education

Mr. Brady became the become the Director of Adult Education in 2014, after serving as PUSD Assistant Superintendent for Business Services since July 2006. He joined PUSD in 2003 and over the past 29 years has served in various school and county administrative positions in Benicia USD, Orinda USD, Contra Costa County Office of Education, and Piedmont USD. Assistant Superintendent Brady has been responsible for managing the District’s business services operations including financial accounting and reporting, payroll services, benefits, technology, and facilities.
